The aim of Harrowby Lane Methodist Church is to provide a safe place for people to meet.
The church adopts the Nottingham and Derby Methodist District safeguarding policy. Copies are available on request.
The number of keyholders with access to the premises is restricted.
GDPR audits and requirements are adhered to.
Facilitators of all church organised groups have current DBS checks relevant to their responsibilities. All have completed Foundation Safeguarding Training and update this as required. Where relevant, some have also completed Advanced Safeguarding Training.
There are established links with the Methodist District Safeguarding Officer who is alerted to all safeguarding concerns. They provide advice and initiate further action in cooperation with statutory agencies as necessary.
The church safeguarding lead is Patricia Hiley.
The church has a separate digital policy in relation to social media access and photographs.
